PPM Technology Products

At PPM Technology we have developed a range of toxic gas instrumentation based on a unique electro-chemical sensor, which we now manufacture ourselves, for the detection of airborne formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde. This range is soon to be supplemented by a range of instruments for other common gases monitored in constructing an IAQ Profile for building management and similar situations.

We also offer many accessories and services to tailor our instruments to your particular situation - if you can't find what you need then get in touch with our technical department to discuss your project.

Toxic Gas Instruments

FormaldemeterhtV

Fast analysis of air for formaldehyde, also measures temperature and humidity using a built in probe. All the features of the 400 but also compensates for extremes of humidity. Ideally suited to measuring low concentrations in harsh environments.

PPM 400ST

Fast analysis of air for formaldehyde in the range of 0 - 10ppm (parts per million) in addition to temperature and humidity. Using an internal pump to snatch-sample ambient air results are available in about ten seconds. Exclusively available in the P.R.C. from our distributor Suzhou Stanford Instruments Ltd.

Formaldemeter400

Fast analysis of air for formaldehyde in the range of 0 - 10ppm (parts per million). Using an internal pump to snatch-sample ambient air results are available in about ten seconds. Very easy to operate after only minimal training.

Glutaraldemeter®3

Fast analysis of air for glutaraldehyde. Much the same instrument as the 400 above but using a different sensor and firmware setup. If you require glutaraldehyde monitoring to conform with the latest COSHH regulations then please contact us.

Automated Sampling

AMS-2

By connecting any of our hand-held instruments to the Aldehyde Monitoring Station 2 a complete automated desktop sampling system is created. It can save a minimum of 16 8-hour sessions to non-volatile memory and download data to a PC via a serial link. A host of accessories are also available.

SPC-1

The SPC-1 board can be used to connect the Formaldemeter 400 or the Formaldemeter htV hand-held instruments to a PC and thus allowing the instruments to be automated by the PC. The SPC-1 Single Point Monitoring software enables the user to schedule the monitoring for the instruments, set alarm levels and generate graphs and reports from the stored data.

PPMonitor

The PPMonitor Multipoint is a PC controlled Indoor Air Quality Real Time Monitoring System allowing the networking of several monitoring units to all simultaneously measure up to six different IAQ parameters such as formaldehyde, carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide. Each networked unit can be set to monitor at regular intervals over a period. Using a single PC interfaced with the network the data from all the units can be displayed graphically and archived remotely.

i/fB

This interface unit lets any of our hand-held instruments to be connected to a third party system by converting the sample result into either a voltage or current output. Typical applications may be for use with PLC controllers or on a 4-20mA current loop. Voltage inputs on the i/fB also lets the connected third party system to control the sampling mechanism or, if required, sampling automated by the i/fB itself.

Accessories

Field calibration kit

For calibrating either the Formaldemeter or Glutaraldemeter range of hand-held's in the field. Easy and safe to use the kit has a 6-month shelf-life and can be placed on a standing-order so you don't need to worry.
IMAGE

Instrument desk stand*

Ideal for use with the AMS-2 or SPC-1 the desk stand holds the instrument upright so that the sampling nozzle is in the 'breathing volume' of the space to be monitored. The stand folds flat when not required.
IMAGE

Instrument wall clamp

A companion to the instrument desk stand or wall mounted AMS-2, the wall clamp provides an easy means of placing the instrument at the ideal location. Also ideal for use at emergency points or spill response for mounting an instrument next to other equipment.

AMS-2 wall mounting kit*

A conversion of the AMS-2 so that it may be fixed onto a wall. Includes a stainless steel or aluminium mounting plate and a mounted paper spool.

AMS-2 external sounder module*

Set of three 12v outputs so that third-party equipment can be connected.

Extra memory for AMS-2 (up to 48 extra 8-hour sessions)*

Expand the storage capabilities of your AMS-2 with a range of Memory Expansion Packs. Sizes from the standard 16 session (128 hours) up to 64 sessions (512 hours) are available - progressing in steps of 4 sessions.

30dB Horn for AMS-2

When used in conjunction with the AMS-2 External Sounder Module this horn will replace the internal sounder. Loud enough to be noticed in most noisy environments for continued protection.

ConnBox for extending hand held connections

The ConnBox converts the flat ribbon-type cable used to inter-connect our instruments into a RJ45 socket. This means that cable such as Cat-5 can be used to cover much larger distances without losing signal integrity. Sold in pairs and not to be used in conjunction with any other networking device such as Ethernet.
